last wednesday, we had our field trip… we went to pampanga and bataan…
we visited two churches in pampanga and the very famous Dambana ng kagitingan in bataan…
the first church was the one of the churches destroyed by a volcanic eruption… many died inside that church…
half of it is still seen…
after some years, they fixed it but they still maintained the atmosphere of ghosts…
the second church wasn’t destroyed but it was very beautiful that its interior is full of paintings…
it is like the Sistine Chapel of Rome… from ceiling to its wall… paintings are all you can see…
they are proud of having wooden floors because they are one of the two churches here in Philippines to have wooden floors…
the only thing i wonder is that why do they praise more St. James than Jesus?
i have nothing against St. James… actually i also admire him…
but believing more to St. James than to Jesus is not a true catholic christian for me…
i pray to saints to guide me everyday… but i worship only Jesus…
the saints we pray are all believers of Jesus that they too offer their lives to Him… because they are true catholic christians…
they told us that it’s their tradition since their grandfathers built the church… to worship St. James…
well, they could just build another religion for St. James… if the center of their lives is St. James…
or if they are really a catholic christian they could just changed their tradition…
well, i’m not here to change their own tradition… i’m here to express my confused mind…
so if you’re a true catholic christian… believe…trust… offer your lives to Him… to Jesus…
